Persimmon trees are typically dioecious. The plant grows well in in well-drained soil.Fruiting mostly begins when the tree is about 6 years old.The fruit is round or oval .usually orange-yellow in colour. Sometimes persimmon is bluish.the diameter varies from 2 to 6 cm. The tree forms pendulous branches, which forms a round-topped canopy. This plant has oval entire leaves.Persimmon bears unisexual flowers on short stalks.Bark vary in color from light brown to ashy gray. Finally bark turns reddish brown. The bark is somewhat broken by longitudinal fissures. Leaves are alternate and simple. Leaves are four to six inches long, oval, narrowed or rounded or cordate at base.
