Annona cherimola is an angiosperm which belongs to the family annonaceae and order magnoliales.The plant bears an edible fruit.Cherimoya is also called custard apple.This is due to the creamy texture of the flesh of cherimoya.The leaves are leathery and the branches are sappy and woody.When the leaves of cherimoya gets matured the veins on the bottom side of the leaves become hairy.New leaves are whitish coloured at the bottom.The leaves are single and alternate.The flowers are fleshy and pale green.Cherimoya fruit are large green coloured heart-shaped compound fruit.
