Description
Himalayan Gentian or Indian Gentian is an endangered in the Himalayas area. Stems are many, up to 30 cm long, unbranched and arising from a stout, the flowers are large, deep blue, funnel-shaped, up to 5 cm long, two or more on each stem. Leaves are lance-shaped, up to12 cm. and 2 to 3 pairs, the flowers occur in August to October.

Medicinal uses: debility, lack of appetite, liver, gall bladder and digestive system disorders, gastric infections, anorexia.
