Beloperone is an easy-to-grow shrubby plant which bears salmon-coloured, prawn-shaped flower-heads at the end of the arching stems. The blooms appear nearly all year round.

Planting and care

Average warmth. Keep fairly cool in winter (60F or 16-18C). Provide as much light as possible. Grow in soil-based potting mix.

Caring for Beleperone species

    When young, remove some of the first flowers to make sure that a vigorous bush is formed. Cut the plant back to half size each spring.

Harvesting

The blooms appear nearly all year round.
