Kadam-Adina Cordifolia is a deciduous medium-sized tree, wide spreading, grows up to the height of 30 m. tall and 300 cm wide, commonly found in deciduous forest areas of Kerala. The leaves are simple, oppositely arranged, obovate, petiole up to 10 cm long, broadly ovate, base cordate, apex acuminate, glabrous, pinnate. The flowers are yellow, found in axillary, globose heads up to 4 mm long, densely hairy, pin-headed, flowering is June to August. The seeds are angular and not winged.
