Description
Indian walnut is a large tree height up to 35 m, and trunk up to 2 m diameter, it is light demanding and full sun to grow well. The bark is smooth, olive-brown in color when it is young and silvery-grey on older branches. The leaves are alternately arranged, 25–40 cm long and with 5–9 leaflets. The flowers are in clusters of two to five. Fruits are ripening in the autumn season with a green, semi-fleshy and a brown in color when it is ripe. The seeds are large with a relatively thin shell and edible with a rich flavor.
